One of the biggest problems faced by organisations exhibiting at a trade show is generating a constant flow of traffic to their stand. With the cost of exhibition space on the increase, an organisation can ill afford to miss any opportunity that walks past their stand.

How can you effectively filter through the many thousands of attendees to put your company in touch with active buyers but also register and track the interest of all prospects attending the show?

In addition to this there is the added restriction, that you don’t want to overcrowd your stand with too many company employees.  The sayings “Too many cooks spoil the broth” and” Less is More” are certainly very apt in this situation.

Your organisation must gain maximum return on their investment by finding a way to pinpoint target buyers and engage with them. Simultaniousley keeping everyone else in a stacking system to keep the stand busy.

Solution

This is where  the trade show magician takes to the stand, using his unique magic and humour to generate a crowd and keep them there.  Most organisations haven’t even considered using the services of a Magician in this context and those that do often find they chose the wrong type of magician, who will spend all day performing magic tricks to anyone and everyone.  This is not quantifiable and is certainly not cost-effective.

My background is heavily geared towards sales. I understand the sales cycle and also believe that the relationships with customers and prospects are key to the growth and success of any business.

My magic and humour make an instant connection with all visitors that pass the stand. The great thing about exhibitions is that everyone wears a name badge, which is a perfect way for me to focus on target buyers and prospects.  If the stand is very busy and all company representatives are engaged, I will keep new buyers and prospects entertained until someone becomes available.

Well in advance, I will spend time working with your company meeting with your event organisers to get a full understanding of your product, its features and benefits and also come up with ways that I can use or mention the product/service in my magic demonstration.  There is even scope for the design of magic tricks using your companies branding. We will also discuss any follow-up activity in order to establish how successful my involvement was, looking for an increase in qualified leads and the quality of prospect information gathered.

The Big Question

Typically my standard fee for any trade show magic is £1,000 per day of performance.  In addition to this all flights and accommodation along with an agreed per diem amount to cover living expenses will be agreed and paid for by your organisation. With a typical trade show lasting 3 days, the average spend per customer including all of the above is around £5,000.  The day required in the build up to a show to establish product information and to agree the extent of my involvement at the show are totally free of charge.

I understand the complexity of back-end systems involved with large organisations and fully understand that extended payment terms are considered the norm. My invoice will be submitted on time, giving accurate event details along with the necessary sign off from the show organiser as proof of my work.

The success of your trade stand is my primary concern. To register your interest in the services of Andy Reay the Trade Show Magician please feel free to contact me.
